PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CORFO)

CORFO, a government agency responsible for domestic production development, has been encouraging non-conventional renewable energy projects with CDM potential since 2005, with special emphasis on technology innovation.
Non-Conventional Renewable Energy
Last October CORFO hosted the Third International Investor Forum on Non-Conventional Renewable Energy.
The CORFO NCRE portfolio for 2008 included 39 projects worth US$894 million and providing a 537 MW generating capacity.
The current CORFO NCRE portfolio includes 51 projects worth US$1.6 billion and providing a 823 MW generating capacity.
