RESULTS

• The Copiapó, Rapel (Cachapoal), and Baker river basins are currently under pilot management programs.

• CONAMA is making a concerted effort to protect relevant ecosystems and endangered species.
• Chile’s National Biodiversity Policy identifies 68 priority sites.
• New national parks have been created, including the first marine park.
